Flew into Christchurch airport early afternoon before gettin a rental car and driving to the motel. We went for a walk through the city which despite being the biggest in the south island was nice and spread out. There were electric scooters everywhere and lots of parks and playgrounds. We saw the old and new cathedrals. We bought a box with ingredients for sweet and sour pork for dinner from the equivalent of woolies but it's called countdown.Read more

  • Royal albatross centre

    January 14, 2020 in New Zealand ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

A short drive on very windy roads took us to the royal albatross centre. This is the only accessible albatross colony in the world but it was really expensive so we settled with the views and other wildlife. On the beach where penguins run back to every night we saw all of their wooden box houses. There were also a few seals lying around on the rocks and sand. My favorite was the one that left a trail in the sand from where he had rolled all the way down. There were also soooo many seagulls everywhere. They covered the ground and there was lots of fluffy baby ones behind a fence.Read more

We came to queenstown and its a lot different to all the other places we have been. It has gold coast vibes but nicer. We saw a bunch of the thrill things like speed boats, skydiving and other stuff. There was a shop called cookie time which is the brand of cookies that are everywhere here. We went back home to our apartment with a nice veiw over the water.Read more
