Coastal Coves

We celebrated our 25th anniversary four years ago on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Today’s excursion felt like a flashback and the pictures don’t do the spectacular views justice. Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc, and Tamariu were the first of the coastal cove beaches and small seaside towns we visited. The highlight was lunch at Toc Al Mar. We also loved the medieval village of Begur with its cobbled streets and stone houses. The temperature climbs up to the mid-80s here and by 4:30 we were ready for a swim. The lovely Sa Tuna cove didn’t disappoint! Social distancing rules were in full swing everywhere and we had to wait 20 minutes to get on the beach but it was well worth it—the water was perfect. A quiet dinner on our balcony (the renovations had thankfully stopped for the night) punctuated the day.Leggi altro
