We made it to Paris! Best day ever!

Our journey to Paris started off with a bus then onto a ferry and then back on the bus. The whole journey took 9 hours but it honestly felt like 2! We were so lucky that we got the entire back row of five seats to ourselves so we were both able to lie down and get some sleep! Before we knew it we had arrived in Paris and it was only 6.30am, woohoo we had the whole entire day to start exploring.

First up was to drop our bags off at our accomodation. I was a little nervous at first as I have heard some horror stories of people’s accomodation not turning out how they expected it to be and for the price we paid that definitely could have been us, but to our pleasant surprise our accomodation is more then what we could have expected to be and it is in such a nice neighbourhood, PERFECT.

Since we couldn’t check in until 3 we had some time to kill. I freshened up, put on some nicer clothes and that was us, we were finally out and about exploring in Paris it honestly feels like a dream. We stopped in at a local cafe to grab a bite to eat before hopping on some e-bikes and making our way to the Arch de Triomph. What a beautiful masterpiece this is and we couldn’t have gone at a better time! There was hardly anybody there so we were really able to bask in its glory! It was truely magnificent.

We then started wandering our way through the picture perfect streets, soaking in the glorious sunshine and window shopping through shops our bank accounts could never afford. We saw glimpses of the Eiffel Tower almost down every street we strolled through however Jayde thought it was best to see the full thing in its glory when we went for dinner tonight.

Let me tell you, Jayde was so right!! We put on some nice clothes picked up some snacks for a picnic on the grass, grabbed a bottle of wine and headed to the Eiffel Tower for a sunset picnic. Nothing could have prepared us for how perfect this night has been. I am lost for words at how beautiful the Eiffel Tower is and it was truely magical sitting in front of something that I use to dream about visiting, with my favourite person in our own little perfect world. We had the most magical night just sitting and talking to each other and calling home to our loved ones to share this amazing experience with and to top it all off we got to catch is sparkle.
