    After a filling breakfast at the hotel, we set off to explore Cordova and its environs. We got off to a late start unfortunately, as we wanted to iron out the car rental issues first.

    On the recommendation of our server at the restaurant, we drove out to Hartney Bay.

    The mudflats of the Copper River Delta at this bay are a popular stopover for shorebirds heading to Alaska from South America. If there were any shorebirds, they were too far out for us to see, but there were a lot of glaucous-winged gulls for us to enjoy watching.    Read more
