    Our only real stop today turned out to be a short one … but amazing nonetheless.

    The Head of the Bight is the playground of migrating Southern Right Whales. It is billed as one of the best places to see whales. During the migration season up to 100 whales, including calves, congregate in the waters along the Bunda Cliffs. Before you get too excited, let me just say that we didn’t see any whales today … it’s not the right time of the year for that.

    So, what was so amazing about our stop here? The scenery. The azure-colored waters … rimmed by white sand dunes in the far distance and the limestone Bunda Cliffs where we were.

    We had debated skipping Head of the Bight because it is not whale season. So glad we didn’t … skip it, that is.    Baca lagi
