(This post is really just so I can get a footprint into our route … nothing exciting to report.)
The only ding-dong that was broadcast into the cabin today was the bi-weekly safety briefing … inBaca lagi
Cruise Director Leslie announced during tonight’s show that the results of yesterday’s PCR test are in. And we’re all negative!
That is something worth celebrating with a footprint 😷😃
Another quiet day at sea … lunch with friends Pam & Ray in the Grand Dining Room was the only interesting portion of the day. Oh, and we also broke with our Terrace Café breakfast routine to eatBaca lagi
I say port, because that’s where we are … and where we will remain until the results for the Israeli-administered PCR tests come back. Last announcement I heard, there were 9 or so passengers whoBaca lagi
Do I even want to write about what turned out to be a “bust” for us? Not really, but I will. So here goes the “short” story of today.
We knew the COVID-19 formalities were going to delay us.Baca lagi
What a nice change from yesterday in Ashdod!
Though Insignia missed her 6:00a arrival at the Port of Haifa, we were maneuvering into our berth behind NCL Jade by 7:00a. Within the next ½-hour, WeBaca lagi
From our previous visit to Haifa, I knew the train station was walking distance to where Insignia would be docked today. Not that we were taking a train. Rather, I knew the path to get us out of theBaca lagi
For years now, as our travels have picked up, I’ve had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday in different countries. This year I’m in Israel on this special day.

We still have a 100 days to go, and Im hoping against Hope that the new variant that is now around won't mess up our trip in August :(
Two to TravelAll the countries are opening up quickly. Only had to test to get on the ship and nothing else in any of the few ports we’ve stopped at on this TransAtlantic cruise. But Israel is playing hardball. I think their numbers have been increasing and that might be why. Hopefully by the time you’re traveling, things will have settled down again.
PengembaraA friend just returned last week from a land trip to Israel and brought home a little souvenir…Covid. She and her husband (and about 30 others on the tour) tested positive a few days after getting home. Be careful (which I know you always are) and stay safe. Looking forward to the coming footprints.
Two to TravelThanks. Since we can’t control what others do, we continue to protect ourselves … and have opted for exploring on our own. Social distancing is still the name of the game IMHO. Hope your friends have an easy time of it and recuperate quickly.
PengembaraIt seems as though you are traveling wisely, enjoying yourselves but also being cautious. We plan to do the same on our 4 1/2 month trip to Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota this summer. We're fully vaccinated, but I still don't want to get Covid.
