Parc Natural Albufera Es Grau

After landing at about 9:30am we picked up the car and headed straight (via the supermarket) to the nearby National Parc. We were welcomed by the park warden who showed us a small exhibition and gave us a map of the walking routes. We then set off and walked for a couple of hours around paths with spectacular views over the lake. The variety of flowers and plants was amazing, lots of which were humming with bees. We had a picnic of tortilla espanol (much better than you can buy in the UK) before heading on the road to Cala Galdana, our home for the next few days. The view of the cove that met us when we arrived was breathtaking. We took in the view from the hotel with a gin and tonic and a no gin and tonic. We ate at a lovely authentic seafood restaurant in Ferreries called Meson Rias Baixas where we shared a salad, some grilled octopus and a seafood Paella.Læs mere
