Drive to Milford Sound

Day trip to Milford Sound! Originally had a tour booked for a 5:45am departure but thankfully was able to change it to 8:30am without any fees! (Thanks Sophie for suggesting to just email them hehe)
Had a nice Estonian driver who was very informative on the drive there pointing out different points of interest and facts along the way. The bus had huge windows and a glass roof so ideal for sightseeing. And I got a window seat right at the front! A German girl, Alicia, sat beside me who was also solo traveling on her gap year after highschool and we chatted quite a bit on the tour!

There are so many sheep! And apparently the Homer Tunnel took 7 men 18years to complete, where as the rest of the road to Milford sound too just over 20!Read more
