Christchurch

Early in the morning we had to get our campervan ready for return later that day. With all our luggage 🧳 quite a task 🙈🤠. Soon after we left for a 90 minutes drive into downtown of Christchurch. On our route to downtown we passed the Mosque of the terrible shooting some weeks ago. Still thousands of flowers and heavily armed police around 😢.
The city was very quiet because of a public holiday. We walked around for some hours before heading to the airport. Christchurch is quite need with nice places, large green parks and little streets with lots of small shops. The impact of the last earthquake (2011) can still be seen at many places.
In the afternoon we dropped off our campervan and visited the Antarctic center which was just 2 mins. away from our hotel at the airport. Early night because the alarm-clock will ring 03:30 🕞 🙈.もっと詳しく
