Fitzroy Crossing - Broome / 430 kmMay 23, 2019 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 24 °C
Today we slept the last time in the car roof tent ⛺️. Will not miss this too much after three weeks! The last disassembling procedure can be seen in the short movie 🤠.
Before heading back 430 km to Broome we went on a boat trip through Geikie Gorge. The gorge developped while it was under the ocean many million years ago. The Fitzroy river is currently many meters below where it should usually be at this time. This can be seen very well by the color of the remaing reef. Usually the water level is about at the level where the rocks change to a dark color in May.
After the boat trip on the road back to Broome with one short stop for driver change 😊.Read more
