    Failure in Halifax

    So the last half day in lovely Halifax was marked by the things we couldn't or didn't do. We did have a grand dinner at the Auction House including some lovely local lobster, fish and brews, after a walk up to the Citadel and a cooling dip in the hotel pool. We planned to spend the evening at the Toothy Moose watching some comedy but when we got there there was only one other chap in the whole bar. So, we abandoned that plan in favour of frozen lemonade on the waterfront...but Tim Horton's was out of cold drinks...walked to another branch, which had closed early! The walk was nonetheless pleasant so we returned to the hotel...and had a terrible night's sleep with noisy noisy air conditioning. The maintenance chap was really bubbly for 1am when he tried to fix it but alas it was still noisy enough to keep us awake. The great people of the Delta Barrington did recognise this in our bill however, which was very kind and appreciated. After an early departure from Halifax this morning, Ben visited Walmart for his first time 😊 Onwards to picturesque Peggy's Cove before Kejimkujik National Park...which looks terrifying from the guide book description...Read more
