At Sea 🌊

A strange sort of sea day, as it was A Level results day. We'd booked breakfast in at a restaurant for a change and it was delightful. Offering three courses (!) for breakfast was bold, especially when the steak and eggs I had was massive on its own! I left a little early to pull the university places off at 7am GMT (9am our time). So the morning was spent in the cabin helping students, crunching data, and researching Clearing, before a lull allowed us to grab a takeaway pizza to enjoy on the balcony for lunch. We were sailing very, very slowly, drifting past the Greek island of Chios for much of the day. It got so hot outside however we had to hide indoors, before a game of crib in the Loose Cannon. From the window, you could see the smoke from the wildfires on Chios. We attempted to play shuffleboard on the way back to the cabin, but it's harder than it looks! Dinner in Pink Agave (Mexican) tonight - BEST dinner of the week! Plus, they had a DJ playing brilliant tunes throughout dinner service. Rounding off the night, we popped into The Manor for Lola's Library cabaret. Unsure what to expect, but it was a brilliantly funny acrobatic and dance cabaret. Quite the unexpectedly fabulous day!
