Pattaya - Schlimmer als die Reeperbahn

From Pai we traveled back to the coast again. The whole way took us around 26 hours. Now we are in Pattaya, which is one of the most touristic places in whole Thailand. There are completely other tourists here than in the north. We don't see many other backpackers but a lot of old German men with young Thai women. Pattaya is still the capital of sex tourism in Thailand and there is really not much positive to say about the city. It is a Reeperbahn feeling everywhere in the city. Nevertheless we wanted to see it once, but once was really enough.

Von Pai ging es zurück zur Küste nach Pattaya. Nach guten 26 Stunden und drei verschiedenen Bussen waren wir angekommen im berühmt und berüchtigten Pattaya. Es ist der Ort an dem unzählige alte Männer sich unsterblich in junge Thailänderinnen "verlieben". Und ja es stimmt: Überall sieht man diese Paare rumlaufen und teilweise muss man sich schon Fremdschämen. Aber nun gut, genau das wollten wir uns einmal ansehen, wobei es wohl auch bei diesem einen Mal bleibt. Auch ansonsten findet man in Pattaya nicht wirklich viel positives.
