Footy: Carlton vs. Collingwood

I really love to watch any kind of sports but in Australia it is a little different. Soccer is not really big, basketball is called netball, cricket I don't understand and Australian football is called footy and has just completely different rules than everywhere else on this planet. OK that's Australia, same same but different!
Today we went on a women footy game to see the magpies (Collingwood) playing at Carlton. It was fun but we still have no idea how it worked. At the end Collingwood won and we were happy.

Ich schaue mir wirklich gerne und nahezu jede Art von Sport an, aber in Australien ist es wirklich schwierig. Fußball gibt es zwar aber eigentlich interessiert sich niemand dafür, Basketball gibt es nur als Netball mit merkwürdigen Regeln, Cricket verstehe ich überhaupt nicht und finde es genauso interessant wie Baseball (also gar nicht) und dann gibt es da noch Footy! Football ist DER Sport in Australien, allerdings sind wir in Australien also gibt es auch hier vollkommen andere Regeln als überall anders auf der Welt. Football ist hier eine Mischung aus American Football, Rugby und Fußball.
Heute haben wir uns daher mal ein Frauen Footy Spiel angesehen: Carlton gegen Collingwood! Auch nach 4x20 Minuten haben wir das Spiel nicht wirklich begriffen, aber am Ende haben die Magpies (Collingwood) gewonnen und wir waren glücklich.Read more
