10th August Meteroa

We traveled to 5000 feet above sealevel on the Greek Alps to Meteroa to see the monesteries built on the top of the massive rock formations or in caves in the rock. The monesteries only have between 1 & 30 monks or nuns in them now. They used to pull robe baskets up the cliffs with people or supplies in. 40 degrees temperature today & we had to dress in long pants & skirts but was the most amazing scenery & such a different history to what we had seen up to now. Splash in the hotel pool was greatly appreciated at the end of the day.Weiterlesen
