24th October Thessaloniki

Jeff has had yet another cold & cough & this time he seems to be passing it on to me. Had a walking tour this morning & there was just 3 of us in the group so was quite nice. It appears that on Saturday it is a holiday to celebrate St Dimitrios (Patron of Thessaloniki) apparently he can heal all that ails you, so let's see what happens to our colds. Hopefully it won't interfere with getting to the airport with aĺl the parades. We had a leisurely walk along the waterfront to our meeting point then had a fascinating walk through the city learning the history. Some of the history we had learnt in Greece previously & in Spain followed through to Thessaloniki so really expanded on what we have already learnt. After the tour we had a coffee with the other guy on the tour which was interesting. Returned to the hotel to get some washing out in the sun & had a quiet afternoon to rest up a bit.Okumaya devam et
