    14th July

    July 14 in New Zealand ⋅ 🌧 12 °C

    Woke up early at 5.45am to be ready for the taxi at 6.15am. Was really excited but a little scared. Checked our bag in & went through security where they took Nana's freezer packs off her & went to McDonald's for breakfast. Our flight was delayed but we finally boarded & was excited when we took off, Nana told me the toilet sucked out & didn't flush so was really loud. We got snacks on the plane & flew through the clouds. I played some games & watched bits of a movie until we finally landed. It was pretty warm when we got off the plane & I couldn't wait to get to the pools. I went down the waterside & played ball with Poppa. I was really hungry so we had an early dinner at the buffet restaurant where I had 2 big plates of dinner & they had a chocolate fountain. I played on the rocks until Poppa came to play with me but he fell over & cut his leg. Watched some soccer before falling asleep.Read more

    15th July

    July 15 in Fiji ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

    Woke up & turned on my TV in my room until Nana came in & I asked when Poppa would wake up, she told me when you wake him up so rushed in & got him moving as I was excited to go to the buffet for breakfast. I had several plates of pancakes & hash browns to fill me up. We went to see if we could get a kayak but they don't use them at high tide so went to the pools instead. Spent the morning on the water slide & jumping off the rocks around the pool until there was a game of soccer, I managed to kick the ball into the water twice & had to have another swim to cool off after that.
    Nana made me a toasted sandwich for lunch & then we were able to get a kayak so had a paddle with Nana, Poppa had to take the photos so they aren't so good, before going back to the pools & having a blue slushy at the swimup bar.
    I played volleyball in the pool before going back to our room to soak in the bath.
    Had dinner at my favorite buffet restaurant then saw the fijian dancing & the fire dancing was amazing. Followed by ice cream & then frog racing where the NZ frog fell asleep until the race had finished.    Read more

    Had my favorite buffet breakfast today & this time they had waffles too. I fed the fish first before spending the morning on the water slide & having 1 of the fijian men throwing my small rugby ball to me as I took off down the slide & I had to try to catch it as I went down. There was touch rugby on the beach but I started to chafe from my wet togs so went back for lunch.
    We caught the Bula Bus to the waterpark which was really cool & I made a friend to go on the slides with & even went down the big vertical drop slide. Nana & Poppa enjoyed the General Managers cocktail party before we went to the buffet dinner.    Read more

    17th July

    July 17 in Fiji ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

    Started the day with buffet breakfast again then straight into the pool & waterside but pretty tired today so went back to our room for a rest before getting on the bus to go to the port. We were doing a Ride & Slide boat trip which stopped for snorkeling (I was a bit anxious about snorkeling & sharks) but really enjoyed it except my chafing annoying me. I saw colored fish in the coral & a sea slug. The next place we stopped at Nana & I got on a paddle board & used it like a canoe while the crew put up the slide from the top deck of the boat down into the water. A friend & I spent heaps of time sliding & also jumping off the top deck into the water. Back to the buffet for dinner tonight.Read more

    July 18 in Fiji ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

    Spent the day at the resort today mainly on the waterslide & with a couple of friends. The Fijian guys are great throwing the ball to me as I go down the waterslide. We also played waterpolo, volleyball & coconut bowling. We played rugby in the pool with 1 of Fijians then went to the resort next door for dinner & a big chicken burger & chips. We watched the Warriors on my TV & they won except I fell asleep at halftime.Read more

    19th July

    July 19 in Fiji ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

    Up early to have breakfast so I could go straight to the pool while Nana packed our things & I had to throw away the little rugby ball we brought with us. We got our transfer to the airport. Once we checked in & got through security we looked around the duty free shops & had Burger King for lunch. We boarded our flight to go home & I watched the Michael Jackson movie but it was a bumpy flight home. I will miss Fiji, the pools, the warm weather & THE BUFFET.Read more
