Paddling Gwaii Haanas

Each day’s paddling revealed itself with a landscape utterly stunning. With a few locations reserved for Haida Watchman sites and one small bay with resources, the islands were crowded with old, old forest. Wilderness. My paddles usually take 30 to 40 minutes to get beyond seeing homes but I am never out of sight or sound of people and their daily comings and goings. Here, not so much. The quietness of that.
