📍Lara Station Wetlands, Barcaldine QLD

We weren’t sure what to expect on our 1st station stay & proper bush campsite.
In the end we were pleasantly surprised, and hooked!
No designated camp sites, no power/water hook up, fires allowed (with the best fire/cheapest firewood!) and a lot of natural space. These have now become our prerequisites for picking a camp spot!
We all made friends, which wasn’t hard to do here. Everyone seemed to be on the same relaxed and chilled level (Maybe that 15km dirt entry road is a natural barrier for certain types!)
No wonder everyone extends their stay as soon as they arrive, us included.
