Louisiana State Capitol

Every time I have tried to see the capital, it has either been raining, closed, or almost closed!

Today, as we exited the interstate, the weather was great and sunny and then dark clouds started rolling in. I was very worried that I would not be able to go up to the observation deck once again!

We got inside, and a very nice security card told us all about the assassination of Huey P. Long (the anniversary is tomorrow) and showed us around the legislative hall.

Thankfully, the clouds had gone away and we were able to go up the elevator and see the city And the river! It's an incredible view!Read more
