Lava Field

Sullivan Bay (Santiago Island): Known for its "lunar landscape," this is the most famous lava field in the Galápagos. Formed by eruptions in the late 19th century, it allows visitors to walk directly over vast, swirling black patterns of hardened pahoehoe lava.
