    At 10.30pm last night we took a boat trip to an island nature reserve looked after by the RSPB. After a 15 minute crossing we then walked to the brooch, which is about 2,500 years old. They don't really know why they were built. As we waited in the half light, it is never fully dark in Shetland at this time of year, bat like things started to flit around the walls and disappear into the walls. These are the storm petrels coming home to roost. We watched them mesmerised for over an hour, before going back in the boat and to the van in the car park to bed about 1am.
