More Medellin exploration

Colombia day 3.
We used the metro and cable cars today. There is a local election today so all public transport is free so that people can go and vote.
The cable car takes you up over the mountain to a natural area which is very lush. The first cable car takes you over a sprawling township like area of poor housing spread across the steep mountainside. This cable car was funded by the govt. So that people can get to work.
We then had to take a second one that is more aimed at tourists which you have to pay more for.
Once at the top there is a cafe and various food stalls. We took a bus to a lake and jungle area. It was another wonderful day but after over 20,000 steps my feet are now sore!Read more
