Playa Gigante - Homestay

An incredible experience staying with a local family in Gigante. Not only got to practice my Spanish but had an amazing cultural experience including seeing how to make all the maiz-based products after the corn was harvested - bread, cakes, nacatamales, chicken soup with maiz-dumplings...y más!

They had three kids - the two younger boys loved playing and called me "chica Nicole". They had two pigs which ate all their scraps, some chickens and am incredible hyperactive dog! I had a lot of fun living brutal Nica life!Read more
