West Thumb

We drove all the way around the lake to West Thumb, the last big geyser basin we haven't yet seen. Lots of tour groups here but the place is definitely worth visiting. We will come back and walk the loop another day.

On the drive home, Eric pulled off on a side road and we saw our first bull elk. He was a big boy and didn't mind us ogling him a bit. He posed standing, then sitting, then standing again. I couldn't believe how close he was (hence the selfie to prove we were there!)Читать далее
