• Exploring the valley

    We couldn't wait to take in the Teton Valley (also referred to as Jackson Hole, "hole" being the old trapper term for a valley between mountains), so we cruised down the highway and stopped to take some pictures. The haze is bad, caused mostly because of the fires in Montana (although Oregon and Washington are burning too). Eric and I can envision buying a bunch of land and retiring to manage a dude ranch out here. Evidently a lot of other people have the same idea because there are TONS of them out here. Finally we wandered around the streets of Jackson by car; we are going to have to come back tomorrow to get a closer look.Read more
