• Exploring Santa Fe

    26. april 2018, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Today we decided to take our own driving tour of Santa Fe. We started off at the historic Plaza Cafe with the best sopapillas in New Mexico (I agree with the claim). They are these doughy fried triangles that you dip in honey-yum! We stopped by the Palace of Governors (the oldest continuously occupied public building in the U.S.) which was built in 1610 by the Spanish to help govern the Southwest.

The city of Santa Fe is incredibly charming. It’s evident it was an old city, with narrow streets and Pueblo architecture. We found ourselves winding our way up residential streets past charming adobe houses with wisteria vines climbing up the sides. The downtown had revitalized their rail yard district into an arts and dining center. It’s definitely a beautiful city, and one I would love to come back to again.
