The difficulty with delaying what one was doing several days ago is that some of the details have faded.
Vattjom had one big advantage for me. After several hours of walking, there was a service station with coffee and cake. It was at the far end of long stretch of road that I had come to after a short, really pleasant section of the trail through a bit of forest. That had broken the monotony of walking on the asphalt and grisvei that had dominated earlier.
