Levanger Camping

After the difficulties from earlier in the day getting to Munkaby, the walk into Levanger was relatively uncomplicated, as was finding the campground I am staying at tonight.

The first of the group of American pilgrims had started to arrive at the ruins as I was preparing to go. We chatted briefly. They are going to be at the same place as me after this, at Laberget, and doing the crossing from Tautra to Trondheim next Monday as well. So I expect the solitude I have enjoyed so far might get a little disrupted.

With the backtracking before Munkeby, this day turned into a far longer day than I wanted. It was about 4 kilometres longer than I had expected when I planned it, and I was pretty bushed when I got here tonight.Read more
