The Frostating and Logtun kirke

The advantage that I didn't see in coming down the cycling route this morning was that I would pass by the Frostating, sight of the Lagting for Trøndelag.

Neither of the planning tools I used showed the route going this way, but the three Finnish women did after following the coast through the forest, so there seem to be some alternatives that bring one past here.

I chatted briefly with the man at the information kiosk, who gave me a potted history of the place.

It is now an active farm, but one older house caught my eye, although I have no idea when the stylistic elements would have been in vogue.

Right next door is Logtun kirke. This church was abandoned in the 19th C for a larger church a little way away. The wood was removed, and the remaining stone walls left derelict.
