Chapter 10: Gratitude

We do not take this for granted. It is special. It is an incredible opportunity and the adventure of a life time. To our family, friends and everyone reading this today, we miss you and are oh-so-grateful for your encouragement, support and love! Photos of you are always with us. Over the past two months, we have cruised nearly 800 miles, experienced 21 ports, and ate an insane amount of salmon, perch, and walleye fish!
Two things are constant at every port harbor so far—American flags and flowers. They are a bright, happy and a welcome sight. And even though it is August 17 (well past July 4th), we still see buntings, flags, and red, white and blue in many Michigan communities. America, the beautiful.
