• Chapter 18: Party in Nashville!

    October 4 in the United States ☁️ 26 °C

It is Monday, Oct. 12 and we are back on the lovely Cumberland River after a 10–day side trip to Nashville. Captain Bill is leading two other Looper boats that began their 6,000-mile journey today. They think we are experts…ha ha!
We arrived in Nashville on Oct. 2 and prepped for the arrival of friends Bruce and Patti Larrabee from Murray, Utah. We packed a ton of fun into 5 days: Grand Ole Opry, downtown Broadway street, hop on/hop off bus, good food, games, and the crowd favorite—songwriters’ concert at The Listening Room. Thank you, friends for joining us in Nash!
We sneaked in a date night at the Symphony before connecting with cousins Wendy and Scott Sherman who live about 30 minutes from Nashville. And then cousins Matt and Beth Beatie flew in from Ogden, Utah. It was an awesome weekend with lots of laughter!
Hurricane Isaias brought a big rain storm to Nashville so we tucked our boat under cover and stayed two extra days. Good time to get mega laundry done.
