    Great Ocean Road

    October 23, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Today we took a day trip on the Great Ocean Road. It was a very long bus tour. The road was built by the World War I veterans to connect the small towns along the coast between Melbourne and Adelaide. There are 3 sections - The Surf Coast, The Green Coast and The Shipwreck Coast.
We stopped 10 times along the way. We saw some real beautiful scenery.
On our lunch stop we were on the lookout for Koalas. Koalas sleep 20 hours a day so it is rare to see one and even more rare to see one moving. We were extremely lucky and spotted 3 - one was climbing a tree and one was eating the Eucalyptus leaves on another tree. The last one was sleeping.
