    Twelve Apostles

    23 oktober 2018, Australië ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

The final stop was the Twelve Apostles. It is a famous limestone formation on the Shipwreck Coast of the Great Ocean Road. It was extremely windy as the winds come from Antarctica, so they are cold southerly winds.
There were only 10.5 apostles but one has weathered away due to the erosion of the waves and now there are 9.5 apostles. Over time others will erode while new ones will be formed.
Round trip travel was about 550km. Left the city around 7:45 am. Returned 8:45 pm. The Great Ocean Road portion was very steep with many twists and turns. Not good for anyone who becomes car sick. Travel back to Melbourne was inland on a straight highway.
