Had a relaxed first day in Prague wandering around the old town. It is very crowded with tourists and not easy to take many nice photos. My first impression of Prague is that it looks like a fairytale city.Read more

Today was a very long day. I was out from 8am-5pm straight. I wanted to see whether Charles Bridge would be empty at 8am and it was. Then I took a walk to John Lennon Wall, and used my tripod to take some snaps. Then I had to brace myself for an uphill walk to Prague Castle. There are many free areas to wonder around, so I would not recommend wasting money on a ticket. When the crowds showed up at 10am...I made a swift exit. Where to? Well I wondered around many shops and a market. I also sat a cafe full of locals to try some real Czech beer. It only cost 33 Kroner which is roughly £1. Plum brandy is said to be a local specialty but I personally don't think that it even tastes like plum. The weather was great today it was 20 degrees and sunny. Looks like I picked the perfect dates to visit Prague.Read more

Today was my last day and a trip to Vyšehrad dominated the day. It is way better than Prague Castle I swear! There are sorts of beautiful things to be seen in Vyšehrad. The thing that stood out to me the most was a beautiful cathedral with colourful doors. After visiting Vyšehrad I took the tram back to the city centre and had lunch. I was determined to find fried cheese and found it at a restaurant full of locals. Fried cheese with potatoes is a local Czech dish. It was very nice but also very heavy. The gym will be my best friend this weekend after all this heavy Czech food. I enjoyed my stay in Prague but don't think it's somewhere I would return to again. Sometimes I visit places and just know that I would happily return. Prague is not one of those places. I have seen/experienced what I wanted to and that is it. My next trip will be to Budapest in a few weeks.Read more
