An insanely good weekend

Spending extended time at the cabin is the best. I am so glad and lucky that the great grandparents bought this place so long ago. It’s my favorite place. We have such a good time doing all the cabin things. One night we went to grand view to see their fireworks show and it was really impressive. It’s been a few years since we went and got to watch them from right below where you can feel the vibrations and all you can see in your field of vision is the explosion and falling sparkles. Chris and I went on a kayak ride and explored some of the little channels - we saw a heron swoop right over our heads. We also had a picnic lunch where we brought all the food down by the lake!
