Farewell Ubud...you've been wonderful!

We woke up at 6am to get an early start for our Campuhan Ridge walk. Left the villa at 6.15am and headed towards the main street of Ubud. We were followed by one of the local dogs so it felt just like home. Made a turn and we were at the Pura Gunung Lebah Temple ready to start the walk. The path was paved so quite good to walk on and the temperature was still comfortable as it was early. We passed a few walkers and joggers and even a couple of people with their dogs. Beautiful scenery with the sun peeking through the trees. 2km trail in total, passing the amazing Kastara Resort and a few warungs, most not open. However the recommended Karsa Cafe was and we decided this was the perfect spot for our final breakfast in Ubud. We were directed to a 'small house' for us to eat our breakfast overlooking a gorgeous Lotus pond. What an amazing morning. We started our walk back and met up with a lady who spotted Tony's Metro State tshirt and she told us her daughter was starting there in the Fall. We stood and talked with her for about 15 minutes as she lives in Denver, so we shared some stories. Arrived back at the villa around 9.30am, had a quick final dip in the pool then we all finished packing for our 11.45am pickup. Our lovely young men picked up our luggage and we met Leping our driver. He took us to his home where he showed us his fighting Roosters. They were beautiful but I'm sad to think of them fighting. We started our busy drive to Nusa Dua and remembered how crazy the drivers are. We arrived at Peninsula Bay resort at 1.30pm and hugged Leping goodbye. He has been wonderful. Luckily our rooms were ready so we settled in, unpacked then headed out for a late lunch at our old favourite The Tree. Michelle & I had a Sex Bomb cocktail which was lethal haha. A quick walk around with the boys stopping to get some groceries. I watched Georgia's basketball game on my Ipad whilst the others went for a swim. We finished the day with dinner at Peninsula Bay.
