Death valley

Often made us nice pancakes. After breakfast at dune 45 we walked to death valley, a hot walk even early morning. A real dessert walk. Sand dunes all around.
Deserted campsite

We arrived at this campsite that is no longer in use. However the toilet is still in working order. We had to set up the tents with a lot of wind. And also some rain.

Last day in Namibia

We left again at 6:50 on our way to Fish River Canyon. From there we drive to the border where we will sleep.

Fish River Canyon

A beautiful Canyon, they say it is the second largest in the world after the Grand Canyon in the USA.
Last campsite in Namibia

We arrived at our last Namibian campsite. It is 41° C in the shade. Too hot. Just had a shower, now on my way to the pool. That is huge benefit coming out of a dusty dessert.

We drove off at 6:30, after a beautiful night outside. I slept on a lush green grass field. A cool breeze and the stars to watch.

Home sweet home

Andrew picked me up from Stellenbosch, and I came home to a dark Cape Town, due to loadshedding...
