• Day 124 - Caracas

2 de setembro de 1974, Venezuela

We got up early and drove to Shell Oil headquarters.

I wanted to talk to them about our journey and possibly advertise the brand by putting their Logo on our camper. They were interested, but it would take weeks to get such a "project" approved. Oh well, it was worth a try!

Now that we are about to conquer unknown territory, we want to be prepared for the unexpected. Wally purchased some critical spare parts for our engine, including a rebuilt fuel pump, just in case. In addition, we purchased a 10 Liter fuel canister. Ursula roamed the supermarket and bought canned food, rice, flour, sugar, and mosquito repellent.

We gifted Rachel a bouquet and Robert an excellent Chilean wine. Rachel served a delicious roast beef dinner with noodles and salad tonight.

Later that evening, we watched a slide show from their travels through Mexico. Many of the places and pictures looked familiar to us.
