• Greenough Museum and Gardens

    An old house settled in and amongst beautiful gardens. It was an unexpected little gem made all the better by the curators that really treated it like a home.

    The kids were welcome to play the piano and play dress ups and we wandered down the garden to see the bending tree.

    The house had such a lovely welcome feel to it and you can imagine the Mayley family with their 14 children living here and entertaining as the 'King of the Flats' as John Maley was known back in the day!

    We all enjoyed playing the piano and our couple of hours spent at the museum were a pleasant surprise to say the least.

    We came away with homemade soap, a beanie for Tom, some new succulents and a plant pot and happy memories of playing the piano in the front room!
