    Chris's Birthday

    Dinner at the Wy Yung Pub for Chris 48th Birthday. So lucky to have James and Angela come over to visit from Marlo, and Bill and Sally come to stay from Melbourne!

    We enjoyed the evening with everyone and then spent the day with Bill and Sally and Toby on Sunday for Smores and roast dinner and more Birthday cake! 🎂Baca lagi

    Marlo Weekend

    After several rounds of sickness and having to postpone our trip to Marlo, we finally made it over to stay with James and Angela for the weekend!

    Beautiful drive over on Saturday and we enjoyed a walk on the beach with the dogs, but Sunday and Monday it poured with rain so not much getting out and about unfortunately....

    The kids absolutely loved watching movies snuggled up on the couch and playing with Taho!

    Big Yellow Slide

    We had a rare sunny day so we took the kids and their bikes and went for a lovely walk along the river to the park and the big yellow slide 🌞

    What fun!

    When we got home Lottie got busy making chocolate chip cookies for everyone! Specifically made by hand and not the Thermomix so she could add more love! Yum yum 😋 💖Baca lagi

    Hotham Ski Trip

    There was lots of excitement seeing the snow for the first time as we drove up the mountain in -5 degrees! ❄️🥶🤪

    When we arrived we got kitted out and the girls did a 2hr 'learn to ski' lesson whilst Chris, Tom and I went up and down the trainer slope (which to be honest was pretty steep for a training area!).

    It wasn't long before Tom decided he was ready for jumps and of course he had some great stackers but he did finally nail it!!! 😂

    The girls ditched their lesson a bit early because they were bored and hadn't really moved off the flat and wanted to come up the slope with us..... they pretty much familiarised themselves with wearing the skis and learnt how to move around in the them and do a snow plough to stop.

    So naturally the next thing they wanted to do was to go up on the ski lift and come down the steepest hill 🤷‍♀️

    They nailed the lift straight away and after a few hours were totally smashing it!

    Because it's the start of the season and not a huge amount of snow there were only 2 lifts open so we drove to BIG D and decided to try the girls on the big slope with the 4 person chair lift!

    They were incredible... by the end we were all racing and Lottie actually beat me on one run!

    We had the best day.... absolutely knackered by the end of the day and Bella was completely beyond it.

    She held it together all day but the combination of trying so hard to deal with the clothes, being cold, tired and physically exhausted was a bit too much for her so there were multiple tantrums at dinner and on the way home 🫣

    But all in all couldn't have had better weather and just enough snow for us to all enjoy the slopes 😍

    It was a long day leaving at 4.30am and getting back at 9.30pm but what a memory to have with the kids and to tick that off their bucket list!!!    Baca lagi

    Last Days with the Robos!

    Our last couple of days with the Robo gang and it's been an absolute blast!

    The kids have played so well. It's been smashing to meet Jack and totally loved having dinner together every night for the last month!

    Canberra

    After a delayed start making it to Canberra because we were waiting for door parts to arrive and Lottie started vomiting, we made it to Cann River for an overnight stop 🤢

    Next morning we headed into Canberra to see Bob, Amy and Baby James and spent a fab weekend with the family!

    Laksa for dinner and a big night drinking for the boys followed by early morning farmers markets and then a walk around the Arboretum visiting the bonsais garden, and then a winter BBQ!!!

    All in all a fabulous weekend and so much fun to see them settling so well into family life 💕    Baca lagi

    Parkes Observatory CSIRO

    What a HUGE trip from Bairnsdale to QLD in a week covering over 2000km...

    We headed from Canberra straight to Dubbo and then Moree before heading to Tara to stay with Dale (Woody from Phoenix) and all his animals!!!!

    On the way we had an afternoon stop at Parkes Observatory which was really fascinating and Lottie enjoyed doing the kids quiz!

    Our final leg from Tara to Howard (Dave Huggets house) should have been 5hrs but it was one disaster after another. The front of the trailer started to fall apart so the side walls were popping out, and finally we lost an entire wheel from the trailer which was no where to be found.....

    That required a 2hr round trip for me to drive to Kingaroy to get parts which was then followed by a further 3hrs driving completing a 11hr day arriving at 7.30pm 🫣😵‍💫😖    Baca lagi

    Bella's Birthday - Maryborough

    Chris and Lottie headed back to work yesterday so we went into Maryborough for Bella's Birthday....

    After doing presents in the morning and Skyping Mum and Dad, and Lottie and Chris we headed to subway in Maryborough for lunch and then a skate/scoot at the park.

    It was a beautiful sunny day and Bella had a great time in the splash park, then we went in search of a barber for Tom and found a hairdresser for her to get a touch up shave and the lady curled her purple hair which was super cute! 💝

    Home for pizza and movie night after a quick woolies shop 🎂    Baca lagi

    Sunshine Coast - Besties

    An incredible 5 days in Bli Bli with the Besties for the school holidays.

    Lottie is back in Capella with her friends whilst Tom, Bella and I went to stay for the week with Sarah, Cam and the kids!

    Absolutely loved all the amazing food (breakfast absolutely 💯), the visit to see Angie for her birthday, dog walks around the lake, and the boys were fishing every spare second including an afternoon at the Barra Park!

    We made it to Big Boing and to the movies to see the Minions in Despicable Me 4, visited Marsy & Parsy, saw Granddave and visited the markets, and I even got to go to a New Moon circle with Myra Medhurst which was fun!

    Absolutely LOVED our week 💖💖💖💖    Baca lagi

    Mt Larcom to Capella

    Our trip to visit Cody and family at Mt Larcom was a couple days of fun. The kids had a swim in the river and we were visited by the cows each day🐄 (not to mention the baby Daschy puppies!!!) And we got to collect the boat after a couple of years of sitting in the shed!

    Sadly the next 500kms to Capella was more eventful with the a snapped A frame on the trailer just as we got to Emerald. Cue a rescue mission with the tilt tray to pick it up off the side of the road..... Thank goodness we were less than 50km from town and had friends who could help out!    Baca lagi

    Capella Reunion

    After all the drama with the trailer it was an emotional reunion with Wendy, Dan and Maddy and all the kids! So good to see everyone back together ❤️

    We had the best night round the fire although the teenagers struggled to talk to each other and Tom ended up going home!!!! Shame it ended with poor Piper fracturing her arm 🤪Baca lagi

    Capella Camp Draft

    Whilst Lottie had a sleepover with Piper and Tom stayed with Bently at the Smalacombes, I took Bella to see Kensie compete at the camp draft! 🐂🐴💗

    What a fun day watching all 4 of the kids join in, having a catch up with Glen and being back in the true Central QLD Vibe! 😀

    School Speech

    After a few weeks of preparation and shifting dates due to dentist appointments.... Lottie finally went into school to do her speech on parade!

    We were lucky enough to have Nana down to visit so she got to come along and watch her too!!!! And what an amazing job she did 🤩🥳❤️

    Wendy's Moon Dinner

    In all the mounting stress and pressure over the past few weeks with the breakages on the trailer, tow ball, the decision to relocate to Victoria, new jobs and schools, shifting our Container and Donga and holding space for everyones big feelings... I've been so grateful to see Wendy nearly every day!

    Tonight was one of the most special evenings ever!!! A picnic out under the moon and stars with my favourite person and such amazing conversation to know that I'm loved and appreciated.

    She organised all my friends and family to send me beautiful love letters and it was the most amazing experience to receive such a thoughtful gift 💗✨️🎁

    Chris's Phoenix Leaving Doo

    It was an emotinal week of dinners and drinks to say goodbye to everyone at Phoenix. On Tuesday night Holly flew up and we went out to dinner at the pub, and then Friday night the boys organised a big party at the house for Chris and it was a fabulous send off!

    He was showered with gifts and praise and it was all a bit overwhelming saying goodbye to everyone he's worked with for 10 years....    Baca lagi

    Goodbye Capella

    It's been a huge 2 weeks getting everything repaired and ready to leave to drive 2500kms south to Victoria.

    I didn't realise how much I missed living in CQ.... the sunrises and sunsets, the open expanse of land, the drives to Emerald and going shopping and out for lunch with the kids, seeing all our friends and exchanging kids, sharing good food and drinks and catching up after school or at the skate park, the horses and the farming and of course the warm weather!!!

    But it's time to move on and so it was a very sad goodbye for the final time 😭💗😭💗😭💗😭💗    Baca lagi

    Moree Hot Springs

    After 2 days of driving we arrived at the Moree Showgrounds again after visiting on our way up just 2 months before!

    This time we stayed 2 nights and spent the day at the aquatic centre and the hot springs to decompress.... it was a much needed rest after such an intense few weeks and I couldn't keep driving without a day to just debrief.

    Such a great family day and enough time to be ready for the final 3 day stretch to Victoria!    Baca lagi

    Cape Conran

    After 5 days of driving we finally made it to Marlo to stay with Angela and James overnight, before finishing the trip to Bairnsdale tomorrow! 🥳🤩💖💥

    On our final drive from Cowra to Cann River it was the most beautiful scenery of green and gold yellow (Canola oil) paddocks dotted all over the hills and we decided to stop for a quick beach run at Cape Conran before we arrived at Marlo.

    It felt so good to be on familiar turf and back at one of our favourite Marlo beaches! It was a huge sigh of relief for Chris to have made it to Marlo with everything intact (albeit the trailer had repetitively fallen apart all the way down but this was a known issue before leaving..... just required a lot of extra screws!!!!).     After arriving at James and Angela's and a yummy dinner of fish and chips for dinner it feels so good to be back here!

    We were blessed with 23 degrees for our first day and so decided to take the boat for a spin after it sitting for 2 years which I wasn't too sure about but we were blessed with no technical issues 😍😍😍

    The kids were absolutely stoked and got out on the tube and knee board despite the freezing water 🥶 (Tom's even still got the 360!)

    Chris was back in his happy place and it felt good to be out on the water just like old times 🥳🤩💖🌟    Baca lagi
