Day 82. Maputo, Mozambique. Part 1. We took the Culture & Cuisine tour today, and it was fabulous. We were very skeptical of going into town because of the civil unrest and pickpocket situations, but we're really glad we did it. We made 7 stops, and most included local cuisine and beer. Stop #1 was a 109 year old train station. I took pictures along the way of the streets and vendors on the streets selling food and wares. They practically accosted us trying to sell something/anything as we walked past them. Stop#2 was at the indoor open air market, which was pretty clean and organized compared to what we saw on the streets.... We tasted numerous fruits and vegetables and cashews.
