Day 148. Isafjordör, Iceland.

Small fjord of 2,300 people.
Took a tour to the other side of the fjord. Went thru a 6 mile long tunnel with a fork halfway down it. While digging the tunnel, they found a river flowing from the mountain. The water in it is crystal clear, and they use it for drinking water.
The mounds in the pictures are there to break up or lessen damage from avalanches. The last one in this area was in 2020. Since then, they've built a wall in the shape of a V to direct the avalanche around the town so it doesn't destroy it again. It was pretty cold today. 34⁰ but 24⁰ with the wind chill.
