Arriving in Port Underwood

All tucked up in Port Underwood sheltered from the stormy winds and big seas that are predicted for the Cooks Strait today and tomorrow. With winds up to 50knot gusts and 4metre seas... We are feeling so grateful to be in this quiet Anchorage. it's very much like the Sounds with a deep inlet and lots of little coves. Great sail down the coast... very exhilarating at times...surfing waves and hitting record-breaking speeds( for Klepper! ) and dodging lighting storms through the night. We arrived a bit wind swept, wet and bedraggled but very, very happy with ourselves. Our trip was 398 Nautical miles from Napier. It was a pretty fast trip for us to be here in 2 days.En savoir plus
