Montreux, Freddie Mercury

Said goodbye to Izzy and got on the bike heading to Grindelwald. On Izzy’s recommendation I paused at Lavaux and Vevey before heading to Montreux to check out Freddie Mercury’s statue. Queen had a history at Montreux. They owned a studio at the casino there and it now houses a Queen exhibition. The casino was the inspiration for the song Smoke on the Water when it caught fire and the smoke billowed down onto the Lake.Read more
