Today was an enjoyable day in Bali.
Another slow 2 hour drive to the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. This is a stunning area with terrace landscapes, lush green paddies with a backdrop of soaring mountains. We passed on walking the terrace.

Goa Gajah, Elephant Temple believed to be built for spiritual meditation. The menacing faces that are craved into the stone are to ward off evil spirits. The primary figure was once thought to be an elephant. The entrance to the site is down a long flight of stairs.

Final stop was a visit to our guides home. We met his mother, wife and 2 sons. His English was limited, so at times I am not sure exactly what he was telling us.
