Day 4 - May 22

A trip to the Cotswolds wouldn't be complete without a visit to Oxford. The university established in the 12th century is now home to 38 colleges. We learned a lot about the history and traditions of this prestigious institution during a walking tour with our guide, James.

After our day spent in the Cotswolds, it's easy to see why the region has the "Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty" designation. Apparently George Clooney recognizes this beauty choosing to purchase a home in the region. The property he bought is on the top of the hill and surrounded by seven neighbours. The neighbours admiration and excitement of him moving to the area was quickly squashed during major renovations he had done to the home. When the renovations were complete he invited them all up to the newly renovated home for an elaborate champagne party. As they left, he gave each neighbour an envelope to be opened when they got home. The envelope contained 25 thousand pounds as compensation for the disruptions.
