We made 25 nm in 4.5 hours, with only 1 hour on the motor. Looking forward to going into their little village and enjoying a sunny day.
Heading to Tenant’s Harbor, ME
Days like this are exhilarating. To think that we have harnessed the wind enough to propel us for so many miles!!
Saw 2 shearwater birds, and 2 porpoises.
Fog! Can’t see more than 50 yards, sailing on radar and gps, hope it’s working😧
Heading SSW on course of 200 degrees, 5.5 kn, under motor. 2-4’ seas. Visibility: 50 yards. Nav lights and radar on.
David and I had a race to the shore today, with me rowing the dinghy and David swimming. Guess who won!! David made a valiant effort, tho.
Traveler This is the harbor where Noel and I waited out Hurricane Bob in 1991 which was our second summer trip to Maine. The mooring company at that time told us to leave the harbor so he wouldn’t lose his moorings. I told him to take the boat out himself if he wanted it out of the harbor but we were staying put!
