Some say he’s spying on people, while others believe he’s simply taking a break from hard labor. Local lore even claims that if you rub his helmet, you’ll have good luck—or even a surprise encounter with love!

🏰 Bratislava Castle: Perched high above the Danube River, the mighty Bratislava Castle is impossible to miss. Its history stretches back to the 9th century, serving as a key military stronghold throughout the Middle Ages. During the reign of Maria Theresa, the castle became a lavish royal residence, but a devastating fire in 1811 left it in ruins for over 150 years. Today, it stands proudly restored, offering stunning panoramic views and housing the Slovak National Museum. We also found quirky boutiques filled with local art, jewelry, and even retro vinyl records—perfect for treasure hunters and culture lovers alike.
