What better way to end our time in Vienna than a dinner steeped in history and flavor? 🎭🍴

We dined at Griechenbeisl, Vienna’s oldest inn, dating back to 1447! This historic restaurant has hosted icons like Beethoven 🎼, Mozart 🎻, and Mark Twain ✍️—you can almost feel their presence in the walls. At the entrance, there’s a fascinating pit featuring a statue surrounded by coins 💰. The legend? Tossing a coin is said to bring good luck and ensure a return visit. Of course, we couldn’t resist joining in!

For starters, we savored the duo platter—a rich, creamy duck pâté 🦆 and delicate beef carpaccio 🥩 that set the tone for an unforgettable meal. For the main course, we both went for the classic Wiener Schnitzel, so enormous it draped over the edges of our plates! It came with tangy potato salad 🥔 and a side of sweet cranberries 🍇—a perfect balance of flavors.
